Monthly Topic Driven Seminars
​DST Program focuses on enhancing each students individual Self-Defense skills and ability. This program is ideal for Women, Law Enforcement officers, the Concerned Citizen, as well as Personal Protection & Security professionals alike.
On Monday evenings we offer Unarmed and Blade defensive skills and tactics and on Wednesday evening's Pistol and Carbine focuses on safety, defensive skills, and tactics. Monthly special topic/skills seminars are provided and included.
Unarmed/Less Lethal- deally suited for Women Self-Defenders, Parent Protectors, College Students or anyone who wishes to build a strong platform for personal protection and situational awareness. This class focuses on the likely disparity of force imposed by potential attackers. Most attackers select victims who they believe to be easy targets. We focus on techniques that are highly affective against much bigger and stronger assailants.
Blade- This class utilizes training blades for a safe and interactive class experience. Students learn both straight blade and Karambit. Students learn both how to defend against and how to use a blade as a force multiplier. Defensive tactics, movement, and blade deployment are just a few of the many skills that will be developed in this class.
Pistol- We have partnered with Next Level Training for using their SIRT and STIC simulators. These simulators are 100% inert despite their realistic appearance. DST Pistol class will hone and develop skills of both new and experienced pistol enthusiasts. Classes and drills alike are focused around self defense. Dry fire training has been proven to be one of the most efficient and cost effective ways of improving shooting abilities. Draw, target acquisition, target transition, support hand shooting, shooting while moving, reload drills are just some of the focal points of this interactive and hands on class. This class will also provide information and skill building to help individuals who wish to acquire a New Jersey Carry Permit the skills to pass the CCARE qualification with confidence.
Carbine- The STIC simulator pairs with your SIRT pistol converting it into an AR style Simulator. These simulators are also 100% inert. DST Carbine/Pistol class will hone and develop skills of both new and experienced rifle enthusiasts while focusing with a self-defense mindset. Drills will work on target acquisition, unconventional shooting positions, weapons transitions, sling manipulation, low light proficiency, affective use of cover and concealment to name a few.
